Its aroma evokes the perfumes of a lovely summer. Its strawberry flavour confirms the nose's impression without sweetened saturation. Moreover, it's even enhanced by a real feeling of freshness, recalling those tiny green granules that are found around ripened strawberries. Its taste is consistent and spreads very quickly throughout the mouth to finish its journey on a touch that is fruitier rather than sweetened.
ABA - Pisco 50cl Bottle
The proven existence of Pisco can be traced back to 1871, and its original Appellation of Origin was reserved and approved by law in 1931. Pisco ABA is produced in the heart of the Elqui Valley, a long narrow oasis that winds its way through the Andes. A 'boutique' type of distillate made by the Aguirre family. Produced with double distillation in copper pot stills. You can drink Pisco ABA in a delicious Pisco Sour (Chileans' favourite cocktail), or mixed with Schweppes, Tonic Water or Ginger Ale (called 'chuflay' in Chile), or simply neat on the rocks. Awarded: Gold Medal - VinItaly 2002; Silver Medal - International Wine & Spirit Competition 2002 (London); Double Gold Medal - The San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2004.
MENABREA 1846 330ml Bottle
Menabrea 1846 is a premium strength lager beer at 4.8%ABV. Addititve free, it is the only Italian lager still brewed using a completely natural 'slow fermentation' process, that makes use of spring water from the Alps and ingredients from the Czech Republic, Germany and France. Unlike mass produced beer, no water is later added to standardise the alcohol content. The results are a testament to eight generations of brewing expertise by the Menabrea family - a full bodied beer with a light colour and optimum flavour. Awards. Menabrea 1846 has won numerous international awards, the first being the Gold medal Award at the London International Exhibition in 1925, and the most recent being the top prize for two years running at the Chicago International Beer Championships (1997 & 1998), beating such renowned products as Grolsh Premium, Kirin and Heineken. 'Pale yellow appearance. Moderately light bodied. Mild bitterness. Subtly hopped. Reminescent of grains, dried herbs, citrus zest. Crisp, grainy palate with lively carbonation. Refreshing, this needs a good chill. Dry style with good flavour'. (winning entry description)
